Structural Design

This air compressor adopts a scientific multi-stage compression system (specific number of stages customizable) and is classified as a fan-shaped, air-cooled, single-acting piston compressor. Its main structural advantage lies in the optimized cylinder layout: eight cylinders are arranged in a [specific arrangement, e.g., double fan-shaped/in-line] structure, with the axes of adjacent cylinders forming a 45° angle. This reasonable layout ensures uniform mass distribution of the compressor's moving parts, significantly reducing the uneven mechanical stress on the machine body during operation and improving overall structural stability.



To further enhance operational stability, the compressor's crankshaft is equipped with high-precision balance weights. These balance weights can effectively offset the inertia torque generated by the reciprocating motion of the pistons and connecting rods, thereby reducing the vibration amplitude of the equipment. This not only lowers the noise during operation but also extends the service life of key components such as bearings and seals, reducing the frequency of maintenance and replacement. The crankcase is made of high-strength gray cast iron and serves two main functions: on one hand, it acts as an oil reservoir for lubricating oil to ensure continuous and sufficient lubrication of internal moving parts; on the other hand, it integrates practical maintenance interfaces, including four side inspection ports (facilitating inspection and installation of internal components), an oil level gauge (for real-time monitoring of lubricating oil level to prevent oil shortage), and oil filler ports (with built-in breathers to maintain internal pressure balance). These designs greatly simplify daily maintenance work and improve maintenance efficiency.



Another notable structural feature is the segmented cylinder-guide cylinder combination design. Low-pressure stage cylinders (e.g., 1st and 2nd stages) are directly mounted on the crankcase, while high-pressure stage cylinders (e.g., 3rd and 4th stages) are fixed on guide cylinders (made of high-quality gray cast iron) connected to the crankcase. This design ensures a reasonable distance between the high-pressure stage cylinders, avoiding oil splashing caused by excessively small spacing; at the same time, it effectively prevents lubricating oil from entering the high-pressure cylinders, thereby ensuring the purity of compressed air — a crucial requirement for oil-sensitive application scenarios such as pipeline pressure testing and oilfield gas lift operations.

This combined lubrication system not only ensures effective lubrication of all key components but also avoids the drawback of frequent oil changes associated with a single lubrication method, reducing maintenance downtime and improving the overall operational efficiency of the equipment.



In terms of installation and mobility, the compressor has been highly optimized. All main equipment (including the compressor host, main motor, and oil pump motor) and auxiliary components (such as coolers, control cabinets, and pipelines) are pre-installed on an integrated skid-mounted base. This integrated design allows on-site commissioning to be completed in a short time after delivery, eliminating the need for complex on-site assembly work and saving a lot of time and labor costs. Whole Machine Description


The SF-10 / 250 (Motor Drive) compressor adopts a fan-shaped (angle-type balanced), air-cooled, oil-lubricated (pressure + splash combined), reciprocating piston type, 4-stage compression structure, and the entire unit is supplied in a skid-mounted integrated manner.


The compressor crankcase is made of gray cast iron, with 8 positioning notches on the upper part for installing the first/second-stage cylinders and third/fourth-stage guide cylinders. The lower part of the crankcase is connected to the oil pan to store lubricating oil, providing a stable oil source for the lubrication system; the upper surface of the crankcase is equipped with oil fillers (serving as breathers) on the access door covers to balance internal pressure and supplement oil; in addition, the crankcase is also configured with practical interfaces and components—including four side access windows (for internal part inspection and installation), an oil level gauge (for real-time monitoring of oil level height), rubber oil seals and sealing cylinders at both ends of the crank (to prevent oil leakage), and oil passage interfaces connected to the oil cooler. The oil discharge of the crankcase is realized through the oil pan’s oil discharge pipe, which is equipped with a control valve to facilitate regular oil replacement.


The compressor adopts a "cylinder + guide cylinder" combined structure (replacing the traditional middle body design). The first and second-stage cylinders are directly fixed on the crankcase, while the third and fourth-stage cylinders are mounted on the guide cylinders (made of gray cast iron) that are connected to the crankcase. This structure ensures sufficient spacing between the third and fourth stages, avoiding the risk of lubricating oil seeping into the high-pressure cylinders from the crankcase and thus ensuring the purity of the compressed air (meeting the requirements of pipeline pressure testing, gas lift and other oilfield operations for clean gas sources). The material of the compressor cylinders is differentiated by stages: the first and second-stage cylinders are made of gray cast iron (with good thermal conductivity and wear resistance), the third-stage cylinder uses QT600-3 rare earth ductile iron (with high strength and toughness), and the fourth-stage cylinder is made of forged steel (to withstand 25MPa ultra-high pressure). The cylinder head of the first and second stages is a separate structure (connected to the cylinder via studs), while the third and fourth stages integrate the cylinder head with the cylinder body; the air valves are arranged in the valve chambers of the cylinder heads—with the first and second stages using annular valves and the third and fourth stages using integrated combination valves (suction and exhaust functions in one).
