Specialized in CNG boosting and transportation, this compressor serves as the "heart" of CNG filling stations, standing out for its reliable performance, safety, and adaptability.


Engineered to handle CNG with specific components (CH₄ 96%, CO₂ 3%, H₂S <21ppm, moisture content 500-1000ppm), it delivers a nominal volume flow of 0.45 m³/min (200 Nm³/h at 0.9MPa, with a design flow of 0.35 m³/min). With an inlet pressure of 0.8~1.0 MPa.G (design point: 0.9 MPa.G) and exhaust pressure of 25.0 MPa.G, it ensures stable CNG flow even in varying demand scenarios. Powered by a 45 kW explosion-proof three-phase asynchronous motor (model YBX3-280M-8), the unit balances power output and energy efficiency. Its compact skid-mounted structure (approximate dimensions: 5500×3200×2700 mm, weight: ~6T) facilitates flexible installation in CNG filling stations and natural gas-related industrial settings.

Features


Advanced Structural Design


The DF-0.45/(8-10)-250 adopts a D-type symmetrical balanced structure, combined with natural air cooling for cylinders and forced air cooling for the whole machine, plus a low-oil lubrication design. This design prevents excessive compressor oil from entering the cylinder—equipped with a post-mounted high-efficiency oil remover, the gas oil content can be controlled at 8 ppm (0.5 lb/MMSCF, a world-recognized standard), ensuring the purity of processed CNG. The reciprocating piston mechanism with 2-row, 3-stage differential compression enhances compression efficiency, while the skid-mounted integration (all main and auxiliary equipment on a single base) simplifies on-site assembly and integration.


The crankcase, crafted from gray cast iron HT250, features interfaces for lubrication, oil drainage, and temperature monitoring, ensuring smooth operation and easy maintenance. The high-pressure cylinder surface uses ion nitriding technology to increase hardness, minimizing inner cavity wear; additionally, 各级 piston components are equipped with metal or engineering plastic guide rings and a plane self-aligning structure, ensuring precise linear motion of piston parts and reducing leakage.


High Efficiency and Reliability


Equipped with precision components made of high-quality materials (e.g., crankshaft: 45#, connecting rod: 40Cr, three/four-stage cylinders: 40Cr, piston rings/packing: PEEK), the compressor boasts high efficiency and strong operational stability. It has fewer wearing parts—key parts like piston rings, packing, and valves have a service life of no less than 6000 hours, while major components such as connecting rod bearings and crankshafts last no less than 30000 hours—lowering maintenance frequency and operational costs.


The automated control system (Siemens S7-200 PLC + Weinview 7-inch color touchscreen) reduces manual intervention, minimizing human error and improving workflow consistency. The unit’s external leakage rate is as low as 0.02%~0.03% of the gas supply volume (thanks to high-performance packing materials), and it uses large-diameter, low-speed fans for cooling to reduce noise, making it suitable for both industrial zones and areas with basic noise requirements. Whether operating at full load or variable conditions, the compressor maintains consistent performance, ensuring uninterrupted CNG supply.


Customizable Solutions


Recognizing diverse industrial needs, the DF-0.45/(8-10)-250 offers targeted customization. Customers can choose lubricating oil grades based on ambient temperature: L-DAB150 for temperatures above 5℃ and L-DAB100 for temperatures below 5℃, adapting to different climate conditions.


Drive and control adaptations are also available: the main motor supports soft start (via a soft starter) to avoid current impact, and the control cabinet reserves an RS485 communication interface with MODBUS-RTU protocol, enabling connection to the user’s DCS system for remote monitoring. Additionally, packaging and marking can be tailored—all outgoing documents, drawings, nameplates, and PLC interfaces can be customized with the user-specified company name and logo; equipment nameplates use 304 stainless steel with English marking (per user-provided drawings).

The DF-0.45/(8-10)-250 CNG compressor adopts D-type (symmetrical balance type), air-cooled (cylinder natural cooling + whole machine forced air cooling), low-oil lubrication, reciprocating piston type, 2-row 3-stage differential compression, and the entire unit is supplied in a skid-mounted integrated manner (all main and auxiliary components installed on a shared base frame).


The compressor crankcase is made of gray cast iron HT250, which provides stable support for the transmission components. It is equipped with interfaces matching the crosshead guide, bearing, and bearing seat to ensure the accurate installation and operation of moving parts. The lower part of the crankcase can store lubricating oil, which is used for pressure lubrication of mechanical moving parts such as the crankshaft, connecting rod, and crosshead via a gear oil pump. The crankcase is also configured with multiple functional interfaces: an oil filler (breathing port) cover plate interface on the upper surface, an oil drain port, an oil level gauge observation port, a bearing seat oil injection port, and an oil temperature measurement port on the side. The oil drain port of the crankcase is connected to a centralized sewage tank inside the unit, and the external discharge of waste oil is realized through the user’s external pipeline connected to the sewage tank.


The compressor adopts a reasonable structural design to avoid medium contamination: the cylinder and packing use a low-oil lubrication structure, with a post-mounted high-efficiency oil remover to control the gas oil content at 8 ppm (0.5 lb/MMSCF, a world-recognized standard); meanwhile, the piston components of each stage are equipped with metal or engineering plastic guide rings and a plane self-aligning structure to ensure the precise linear motion of the piston rod, reducing the risk of lubricating oil entering the cylinder. The material of the compressor’s first and second-stage cylinders is ductile iron QT600-3, and the third and fourth-stage cylinders are made of 40Cr (with ion nitriding treatment on the surface to improve hardness and wear resistance); the cylinder head material is 40Cr. The air valves are made of high-quality stainless steel (valve seat: 3Cr13, valve plate: PEEK, spring plate: 3Cr13) and are arranged in a way that meets the gas flow requirements of the 3-stage compression process, ensuring smooth gas intake and exhaust.
