The ZW-1.45/45-50 Commissioning Gas Reciprocating Compressor is a high-pressure piston compressor designed for commissioning gas compression applications. It adopts a vertical Z-type, single-stage reciprocating structure with a nominal capacity of 3,500 Nm³/h.
The compressor is designed for approximately 4.5 MPaG inlet pressure and 5.0 MPaG discharge pressure, with an inlet temperature of ≤40°C and discharge temperature of ≤55°C.
The cylinder and packing use an oil-free lubrication design, while the moving mechanism adopts pressure lubrication. The compressor is equipped with a water-cooling system and a 45 kW ExdIIBT4 explosion-proof motor, making it suitable for high-pressure industrial gas compression applications.
4.5 MPaG → 5.0 MPaG pressure service with a nominal capacity of 3,500 Nm³/h.
The cylinder and packing adopt an oil-free design to help prevent lubricating oil from contaminating the compressed gas.
Equipped with a 45 kW, 740 rpm, ExdIIBT4 explosion-proof motor with IP55 protection.
The cylinder and packing are water-cooled for effective heat removal during operation.
The compressor and auxiliary systems are integrated on a common skid base for convenient transportation and installation.
The compressor uses a reciprocating piston compression process:
Suction → Compression → Discharge
Gas enters the cylinder through the suction valve. The piston moves inside the cylinder to compress the gas. When the pressure reaches the required discharge condition, the discharge valve opens and the compressed gas flows to the outlet.
This model uses single-stage compression, with the specified pressure increasing from approximately 4.5 MPaG to 5.0 MPaG.
The ZW-1.45/45-50 is designed for:
Commissioning Gas Compression
Natural Gas Processing
Oil & Gas Projects
Petrochemical Plants
High-Pressure Gas Systems
Industrial Gas Compression
The specified process gas is predominantly methane, with ethane, propane, butane and other hydrocarbon components.

The equipment is subject to material inspection, non-destructive testing, pressure testing and operational testing according to the technical requirements.
What is the flow rate of the ZW-1.45/45-50 compressor?
The nominal flow rate is 3,500 Nm³/h.
Is the entire compressor oil-free?
No. The cylinder and packing use an oil-free arrangement, while the crankshaft, connecting rod and crosshead use pressure oil lubrication. It is therefore more accurate to describe it as having an oil-free gas-side compression section.
What is the purpose of nitrogen sealing?
Nitrogen is supplied to the packing to improve sealing performance and help prevent compressed gas from escaping through the packing system.
Can the compressor be designed for different flow rates and pressures?
Yes. The actual compressor configuration is determined according to the customer's gas composition, flow rate, inlet pressure, discharge pressure, temperature and other operating requirements.
